How the Insurance Process Works

1. Submit Patient:

Complete the above form and attach the patient’s prescription/paperwork.

2. Eligibility & Benefits:

Your patient is assigned to a personal Treatment Specialist who checks into their insurance coverage and reviews policy details and deductibles with them.

3. Prior-Authorization:

If we’re able to work with their insurance company, the next step is filing a prior-authorization request. We submit the paperwork you’ve provided Insurance companies have 14-business-days to respond.

4. Approval or Denial:

-Approval: Once prior authorization is approved, we’ll send your patient an Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) form. They can choose to receive the device the same day we file their claim, or wait until we received payment from your insurance company.

-Denial: Don’t worry. We deal with denials all the time. The best way to overturn the decision made by an insurance company is to file an appeal letter. We have guidelines on how your patients can make the best case here.

5. Beat Sweat:

Finally, after all that, your patient has their iontophoresis device! Most people see a significant reduction in sweat within the first 2-weeks.
