Measuring 4 body composition factors at once, BCA is the world's smallest Body Composition Analyzer.
It's fast and easy to use. Simply enter your personal profile- sex, age, height, weight, and wrist size- then grasp the palm sensors and within seconds four body composition factors are measured.
Detailed results appear in the LCD along with comparisons to your ideal for each factor.
How it works...
BCA uses advanced bio-impedance technology to analyze your detailed body composition, including the following factors:
• Bone Mass (weight) and Index
• Total Body Water (weight) and Percent Hydration
• Body Fat %, Total Fat Weight, and BMR
• Muscle Mass % and Total Muscle Weight
The built-in database helps you understand your results by classifying your body type into 1 of 9 categories for each factor and also comparing your results to those recommended for your particular profile. (See example for Body Fat chart below.)
Exercise and diet both affect fat and muscle development and BCA can help you monitor Muscle Mass (the total weight of muscle tissue in your body) as well as body fat, bone mass and hydration.

For each factor of body composition, your body type is classified into 1 of 9 groups (such as "Lean+Athletic") and the difference between your actual and ideal result is displayed. In the example at right, hydration level is "high" (5 bars).
Factors such as muscle mass and body fat percentage are useful indicators of true fitness level. BCA uses 4-sensor Bio-impedance Analysis to measure body composition accurately and quickly.
It also calculates your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), which is the number of calories you burn at rest daily, and computes the difference (offset) from your results and ideal body composition for your personal profile.
