MD-2 Galvanic Unit Introduced

Our popular Model MD-1a Galvanic Unit, used for treatment of hyperhidrosis (sweating of the hands or feet) has now been joined by the new Model MD-2, a digital Galvanic Unit that is microprocessor controlled. This new model gives patients and physicians a choice between the classic MD-1a, which has been in production for over 10 years, and a more advanced version having improved output control and user-friendly features.

The MD-2 produces the same effective DC modality as the MD-1a, but includes a 32-character LCD and full programmability. Digitally controlled output (which is now automatically current regulated) and a treatment timer with audio alarm make configuring a session fast and easy. Auto-reversing polarity, 7 pre-set modes, and a custom memory add to the long list of helpful features.

Unlike competitive computerized epilators, the CB-X Series 4 includes polished aluminum intensity control knobs, which are superior to push buttons that require you to "press and hold" for making adjustments in output levels. In early 1996, Dateline NBC broadcast a segment featuring a "new" treatment for a medical condition called "Hyperhidrosis" characterized by excessive sweating of the palms.

Dr. Lewis Stolman, one of the pioneers in the use of Tap Water Iontophoresis was pictured along with one of his patients. The device he used is manufactured by R.A. Fischer Company, and is a product we have supplied for over 30 years to the medical profession for various applications. In its current form, the Model MD-1a is well suited to this treatment technique.
